What is ProcessBridge?


ActionBase’ philosophy is to help managers follow up to completion all ad-hoc and dynamic processes that are usually managed in e-mail and Office documents. In order to fulfill this we went beyond traditional collaboration boundaries: Many business processes include people outside a working group, department or even the organization. Many business processes are triggered by different systems or email alerts and notifications. As a result, we turn to e-mail as the only mean available to connect and collaborate with other people on business workflows, which makes tracking and follow-up mission impossible.

ProcessBridge, which is an additional module to the system, provides increased functionality and answer these needs.
ProcessBridge helps companies break process collaboration boundaries by letting users connect and collaborate with anyone who is part of the process, including people from outside the organization.  The external sees a regular e-mail, but ActionBase keeps that email and all its responses in the appropriate process context. ProcessBridge starts where other process management systems end, and provides managers with visibility over the entire process no matter where the actions are triggered.  The system also kicks off a process originating as an e-mail message from external applications and allows users to follow these processes to completion within ActionBase.

 

 

How does it work?


  • Connect with anyone:  ProcessBridge allows ActionBase users to connect with everyone who is part of the process and is within email reach. From now on, process owners gain full visibility over the entire process even if those participants are external to the organization. With ProcessBridge, you can easily connect with business partners (B2B) on complex joint ventures and multipart projects, or works with suppliers, contractors, consultants and customers to achieve a common goal, as ProcessBridge streamlines information back to your ActionBase account.
  • Initiate processes from any e-mail group: Many processes start with a simple e-mail, such as a lead that finds its way to sales@yourorg or a customer complaint that was received in requests@yourorg. Until now, these e-mail based processes lacked the managerial control over how these process kick off and how they were followed up on. ProcessBridge is the first solution that automates these e-mail triggered processes and follows up and drills down on the entire process.

 

 

  • Integration with external applications:  We take off where other systems end. ActionBridge identifies e-mail messages triggered from various lines of business applications and initiates the relevant process within ActionBase, allowing people who are not connected to those applications to follow up and execute those required actions.  ProcessBridge then updates the initiated application or the relevant user, providing end-to-end visibility across the entire process which started in one system, continued in another and then completed in the original system.
