Sam Somech Chairman of the Board
Sam is one of the world's leading experts on middleware messaging technologies. An experienced and successful entrepreneur, he has an extensive track record transforming new technologies into profitable new businesses, from initial concept to development and commercialization. Until recently Sam was the CEO and chairman of Itemfield, which was acquired by Informatica. Previously, Sam was the president, CTO and co-founder of Level 8 (NASD: LVEL), as well as founder and CEO of Data Voice Systems, where he developed the concept for the first transactional messaging product, which was the foundation of IBM MQSeries. Sam received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, an M.Sc in computer science from Columbia University and an MBA from Baruch College.
Eyal Maor Chief Executive Officer
Eyal has more than 18 years of senior executive management experience in the enterprise software and security space. Eyal joined ActionBase after working with leading media and financial services firms in the areas of SOA and Web 2.0. Previously, Eyal was the founder and CEO of SilverKite, one of the early players in SOA providing compliance and governance for SOA and web services, working with leading early adaptors to Fortune 1000 corporations. Prior to that, Eyal was the CEO of Excedo, formerly ModusNovo (acquired by Evantra Inc.), a real-time business intelligence and analytics vendor focused on identifying and classifying important events and sending real-time alerts to stakeholders across the enterprise. Before that, Eyal spent several years with Aladdin (NASDAQ: ALDN) where he held various business positions including the corporate VP of business development and VP of sales. Eyal has held senior marketing and sales positions at Dun and Bradstreet International, a leading international business information provider and Trend-line (TASE: TREN), the first Israeli ISP and business information provider. Eyal spent several years in Air Force Intelligence, holds an MBA in Information Systems and Finance and a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) in Political Science - both from Bar-Ilan University.
Jacob Ukelson Chief Technology Officer
Jacob has a proven track record in discovering and developing innovative solutions to real-world customer problems, and then developing them into products. Jacob has fostered innovation in many different environments, including both research and business settings. Until recently, Jacob served as CTO of Itemfield, the leader in next-generation data transformation, where Jacob oversaw Itemfield's innovation, vision and strategy until its acquisition by Informatica. Previously, Jacob was the CTO and business development executive for IBM's Global Technology Unit. Prior to that role, he was a department general manager at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Lab, managing a group of 130 cross-disciplinary researchers. Jacob received his Doctorate of Science in computer science from the Technion University in Israel. Jacob has been published in many technical journals and has spoken at conferences worldwide. In 1997, he received the Alexander C. Williams Ergonomics and Human Factors Award from the Human Factors Society.
Dor Ramati Vice President, Research & Development
Dor joined ActionBase in 2008 to lead the research and development team. Dor has broad experience in R&D, specializing in real-time and batch enterprise applications for large scale databases, including enterprise reporting and business analytics. Prior to joining ActionBase, Dor served as a R&D manager at Octavian (www.octavian-tech.com) and director at Amdocs' (Nasdaq: DOX) RandD division, where he was responsible for the development of a wide variety of business support systems. Dor holds a B.S. in Information Systems Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Ben Gurion University, Israel.
Hemy Fintsy Vice President, Business Development
Hemy joined ActionBase in 2009 as a VP of business development to lead and further expand the ActionBase partner network and cooperation with leading technology and solution partners. Hemy has over 15 years of professional experience in marketing, business development and sales in software solutions. Prior to ActionBase, Hemy served as AVP of marketing and business development of ECtel. He joined the company with the acquisition of Elron TeleSoft where he held the COO position and previously served as VP of marketing and business development. Hemy was previously the VP of marketing and sales at Formula Group, a leading IT group in Israel, and as a director of business development of Compro Software Industries (a Ness Technologies company). Prior to that, he was the founder and managing director of a private software house. Hemy holds an MBA from Ben-Gurion University, and a B.Sc. in Information Systems Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Eyal Sherman Vice President, Business Solutions
Eyal is responsible for defining new business solutions and expanding the product’s existing offering by supplying additional functionality to a selected number of vertical use cases. In addition, Eyal is in charge of developing technological partnerships that lead to integrations and OEM's. He previously held the position of VP of R&D at ActionBase. Eyal has 15 years of software development experience and has been an active partner in planning, architecture definition and design, as well as heading the ActionBase development team. Prior to ActionBase, Eyal worked as a team leader at Eyron, Ltd. in developing tailored made software solutions for customers in the construction and the semi-conductors segments, as well as at Oracle Israel. Previously, Eyal worked as a software engineer, at several positions, at Oracle Israel. Eyal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and an MBA, specializing in data systems.
Ran Shribman Vice President, Sales EMEA
Ran brings to ActionBase over 15 years experience in sales and sales management of Enterprise Software Solutions, Networking, and Multi-Disciplinary systems, developing business from scratch both in Europe and Asia Pacific. Recently he served as VP Sales EMEA at WorkLight where he successfully sold the company’s first projects to several leading banks across Europe. Prior to this Ran served as Director of Corporate Sales at CogniTens, establishing and growing the company’s business in China, Korea and Europe. Before that Ran held various roles at Dassault Systems’ SmarTeam Corporation. Most recently as VP Sales Operations he was responsible for sales globally working closely with the local sales teams in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Prior to that Ran spent several years in the UK as European Sales Director establishing and managing the local subsidiary that included sales, pre-sales, professional services and technical support.
Shif Arad Dir of Professional Services
Shif Arad joined ActionBase in 2007 to direct the professional services team. In his role, Shif leads the delivery and implementation of ActionBase, walking customers through the implementation phase, focusing on processes discovery and modeling. Shif also is in charge of the global coordination of all support activities, as well as all aspects of support operations provided by ActionBase. Shif has a rich background in the hi-tech industry with more than 10 years of experience in software development (Microsoft MCP), Microsoft Infrastructures Technologies (Senior Consultant at Microsoft MTC in Tel Aviv) and Professional Services (Identify\BMC).
